1 Type of Cage
We build all cage assemblies from a combination of single and double kennels. All Shor-Line Stainless Steel cages are 28¼” deep. We use high-quality Stainless Steel with premium features (links to anatomy. Most cage assemblies will be a combination of single and double kennels. Indicate both if you want a combination or just single or double cages. Note: Most customers choose to keep double cages on the bottom to prevent lift injuries.
Single Door Cage
Single Door cages come in 6” increments from 18”W to 48”W and with heights from 18”H to 36”H.
Double Door Cage
Double Door cages are available as 48”W, 60”W and 72”W and 24”H, 30”H or 36”H.
2 Cage Height and Width
Your general mix of pets will determine which sizes you need. Giant breeds will need kennel runs but large dogs can do well in double door cages with exercise time. The benefit of Double Door cages is they can convert to two smaller cages with an optional divider. Mark the sizes you want to consider, and you will be shown banks with those options.
3 Assembly Width
How wide do you want the cage assembly to be? Some customers choose 2-4 assemblies to fill the length of a room. This allows for easier movement for cleaning, etc. It also allows for keeping “smalls” a little further from larger dogs, if desired.
4 4'W Options

13 Platform Option
Most customers place their Stainless Steel cage assemblies on a platform or inset them into a platform constructed into a wall. Platforms make cleaning beneath easier and adds flexibility. Choose between these options or no platform. Select No Platform if you will be constructing a platform.
Mobile Platform
We will size this platform to meet your assembly needs. It uses large, reinforced nylon casters and polyurethane wheels that rotate 360 degrees and include a locking mechanism. The wheels add 8½” to the assembly height.
Stationary Platform
We will size this platform to meet your assembly needs. The adjustable feet are perfect for adjusting to uneven floors. They adjust from 9¼” to 8”H.
No Platform
14 Other Options
There are several standard options that use our standard cage sizes but allow special features. These will cost more than the standard cages and will create longer lead times. But they will customize your assembly and most of them are only available when your cages are built.
