Feeding Options

Almost all feeding options need to be designed into the run before it is built, so review your options early.

Planning for Kennel Feeding Options

Making feeding time as efficient as possible is a benefit to boarding and daycare facilities. You want your concentration to be on matching the correct meal to the correct pet, and getting everyone feed as close together as possible for pet satisfaction.

Most feeding systems need to be built into the kennels. The bottom bars are adapted into accept different feeder systems so the food tray stays in place, even when a pet is aggressively eating from the bowl.

Swivel Feeders

Shor-Line’s most popular feeder is the Swivel Feeder. Like the name suggests, the bowl swivels 180° from filling the bowl on one side of the kennel to rotating the food tray to the dog on the other side of the bars.

The Stainless Steel feeder is strong and stands up to daily use. It is designed to fit into either a Shor-Line or T-Kennel run gate, but it must be built in when the initial run order is made. Should anything ever happen to the feeder, replacements parts are available.

Swivel feeder options

Shor-Line makes three Swivel Feeder Options (A, B, or C). All styles fit Shor-Line runs but only Options B or C fit T-Kennel runs.

Slide-In Vertical Feeder

This feeder system only works with T-Kennel run gates. It is an economical feeding solution that does have to be ordered with the initial run gate order.

The feeder slides in as a vertical unit with two 2-quart bowls. The vertical feeder works on 36”W or larger runs .

Stainless Steel Feed Trays

This is the only feeder option that can be added as a retrofit. It only works with T-Kennel style doors.

The feed tray is a horizontal, Stainless Steel box that pulls in and out for feeding. It acts as a trough. It is available as a locking or non-locking tray. The locking tray tightens down to hold it in place.
